The speech was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the plane we r enroute to heathrow". Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing helper". These messages were published on this week alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes. The release by the House oversight committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and locations referenced. For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford two days later. Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the request for comment. 'I'll make sure you're well looked after' Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017. He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We're going to release the film, the five-part series, next year - at the start of next year." But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a aide. A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ". Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Not Included". Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of." British Affairs Mentioned in Messages The released communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year. Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit thing this morning with Farage, Johnson and Mogg." Then, in what seems like a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he added: "They are trying to move on. May soon…" Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think remaining as long as you can uk. Ideal- so people see the commitment of your follow-up." Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys over here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge". Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018. A spokesman for Reform UK told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred. The US House of Representatives will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in 2019. Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 documents from his archives. A portion of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the early 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was first arrested.
