During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.
Simultaneously, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.
Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying penalties," was stated in a online statement.
Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.
A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.
Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.
Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.
The strikes come after periods of air raids in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.
Authorities told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating further attacks.
